We strongly encourage study members to do everything they can to stay safe online. Here are some top tips:
Keep your information private. Limit what you share and who you share it with, and never post any personal information publicly.
Check your privacy settings. Always explore the privacy settings of any social media site when you set up your account and be aware that sites like Facebook change their privacy settings regularly — it’s important to check your own settings every once and a while.
Pick strong passwords. Don’t use anything that’s easy to guess, and change your passwords regularly.
